I am a Graphic Designer with 10+ years of experience working inside corporate marketing groups as an art director and production professional developing and producing concepts for print collateral, web, and other digital media. I hold a BFA from The University of Arizona where I studied graphic design and studio art. I have deep experience in helping clients tell a story visually and creating compelling ways to organize information—simplifying complex concepts and using concepts that reach audiences on visual levels easy to connect with.
As a marketing communications designer, and print and web production artist I have developed excellent skills interfacing with clients, helping them to refine solutions for complex communications challenges. My work has included a vast amount of traditional print design and production, PowerPoint presentations, website design, and production of art for websites, information graphics, Flash animations, and general strategic communications development both in writing and in design.
My skills in InDesign, Quark, Photoshop, and Acrobat are expert. I have used both InDesign and Quark in the development of books, and other long documents where implementing style sheets, master pages, object styles, chart styles and other highly complex attributes is important. I understand data merge for lists of thousands of lines of data in both programs. I’m equally skilled with Photoshop, manipulation and color correction, compilations, and general enhancements to digital imagery for print, large format graphics, and for web site use.
Currently Houston-based, I enjoy getting to know Houston again! I currently maintain a studio at Hardy Nance Artist Studios in a historic corner of downtown Houston. I’m involved with the Visual Arts Alliance and enter shows around Texas.
